  • Just graduated McGill University studying music, marketing and science.
  • He’s a jack of all trades.
  • Likes cats. A lot.
  • Is from Dartmouth, NS – aka the Darkside. If you don’t know – we didn’t either.
  • Will wear a flag to impress.
  • Likes to start his Saturday nights with a call home to his fam (decreases guilt, thereby increasing good times).
  • Doesn’t kiss and tell...

  • Fears nothing.
  • Would tell you about his hidden talent, but would have to kill you.

Do you like cheese? Do you like melted cheese? Mmmmmm melty. Jaime and I stopped by The Grilled Cheese in Kensington Market to see if they could fill our bellies.
The interior of the place was great - a very relaxed, homey feel with worn wooden tables and friendly staff. We also could have sat at the sunny picnic tables outside.
Alright, decor’s out of the way. On to the food! The Grilled Cheese only serves…uhhh, grilled cheese, but DAMN they do it up nice. Jaime went for a Grilled Motzy - boccocini, sun dried tomato, basil pesto, mixed greens and vinegrette. I opted for a lighter option named the Beast: jalepeno monterey jack and cheddar cheese, bacon, smoked turkey, onion, tomato and spinach. Salivating yet?
Everything was served with chips and pickles, whose saltiness nicely counterbalanced the moist, rich gooiness infused in these epic creations.

It’s written on their menu, and it’s true: just like you, the sandwich grew up.
